On Monday evening as we were driving home from work with Gudula and Robert, we had an interesting conversation.
Robert commented at how dreadful one's life can become when the people close to you at work, home or other place are the exact opposite you in regard to goals, personality and character.
Gudula thought that what makes life interesting is the different aspects of others. This ultimately would validate the adage -opposites attract! mhh!
The argument was if you keep people around you who always go against what you think or do, then you will probably end up exactly like or even worse than them.
A case to point out was having a spouse who instead of taking used plates to the kitchen just tosses them out of view wherever one is at the time of eating. If in the bedroom, well, straight under the bed!!
You may talk for ages against this practice but it will get to a point when you just give up and start being like or even worse than that person. (how about the wardrobe for them plates)
Moral decadence? Yes, it surely applies too. So whilst you strut your stuff trying to find someone to share your life with, perhaps it would be good to not so easily shrug off the 'small things' they do add up you know!
Avoid the Donkey love! Its simply not worth it!
